Meeting Doctors

When Justin and I thought of what we wanted in a pediatrician the main thing was a close location.  We didn't want to have to drive across town with a sick child.  Luckily, we found one less than 5 miles away.  Her name is Dr. Wagner.  The office is clean and neat, and even has a room separation for healthy kids and sick kids.  We had our consultation late in the day, and the office was empty.  This let us know to try and schedule appointments late in the day, less waiting time. While the business was winding down for the day, the crew was busy cleaning the lobby with sanitizer.

While in the office the doctor asked if we had any questions and the only one I could think of was about the circumcision.  In preparing for are little bundle of joy to arrive I have been reading baby books, and they suggested asking many more questions.  They even provided a list.  Next time we see her I will make sure to write the questions down a head of time in order to be more prepared.

Expecting Troubles

Justin and I are expecting a first child together, and he will be joining us in April 2012.  The first two trimesters were easy, but this third one is not so much.  I only had morning sickness a couple times, and had no crazy food urges.  This allowed me to work whatever schedule I was needed for and was able to keep up my energy to get things accomplished. Things got complicated late January.  I started having hip and leg pains, but passed it off a growing pains.  The pain only increased in my left leg where I was not able to walk without crying in pain.  This lasted for a week or so before I went to the doctor.  This lead to the ultra sound which discovered I had a DVT in the middle of my thigh up to my stomach.  This leads to now where I am home and resting until the little boy is born.

About Me

My name is Jamie Cummins.  I am a graduate of the University of Reno Nevada with a degree in Business Administration, wife, and expecting mother in April 2012.  I will be receiving my actual diploma in May, but have been working towards a degree since 2004.  While going to school I have been working full time at Office Depot.  This is one of my reasons why it has taken me a while to complete my education.  During this time I got married in August 2010 and invested in my current home.  The last news is the best news.  I will be having a little boy in April.

I enjoy reading a wide variety of books and lately have been learning how to crochet to pass the time.  I also have three dogs, two beagles and a dog we adopted from the SPCA.  We are not to sure exactly what kind the adopted dog is but he looks like a Collie.
